Deon encountered Christ through the Broward Outreach Center, where several City to City Miami alumni serve faithfully by leading weekly chapels.
After completing the recovery program, Deon faced the difficult transition to independent living and was invited into Jesus & Recovery, a micro-church planted by Jimmy Saville, a City to City Miami Incubator alumnus and part of the Network of Neighborhood Churches.
Through this gospel community, Deon experienced church in a new way. He shared that for the first time he felt part of a place "where even someone like me can help build and lead."
Today, Deon is being discipled and developed as a leader within the micro-church and is benefiting from City to City Miami's hybrid Incubator and gospel coaching model.
In a season of rebuilding his life, the gospel has given him renewed purpose, belonging, and hope rooted in Christ.
