The City Renewal Triangle represents our approach to a gospel city movement where gospel renewal dynamics in a city are stewarded through a movemental city collaborative structure toward:
1. multi-denominational church multiplication and revitalization (which includes many forms of church expression)
2. holistic city engagement that brings shalom to the whole city (which includes the areas of the marketplace, education, government, the arts, and more), and…
3. initiatives that create thriving movement resources (including leadership, content, finances, and more), for both the specific city itself and other cities in the region and beyond.
While we believe these elements can and should be seen in every city around the world,
we believe they will be discovered and expressed in unique ways in each city, due to the unique context of each city and what the Spirit is doing in that city.
While timetables will differ as well because of context,
we believe that a robust gospel city movement will take time (years and not months), given that much of the work requires deep, trusting relationships among God’s people across the divisions of ethnicity, class, denominations, gender, and more.
